ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อกระจาย ช่อดอกยาว 10-20 ซม. กาบช่อดอกย่อยบาง อันล่างปลายมน อันบนเป็นรูปหอก ปลายแหลม มีดอกย่อย 2 ดอก ดอกล่างไม่สมบูรณ์เพศ ดอกบนสมบูรณ์เพศ กาบดอกเรียบมัน [1]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ล้มลุก จำพวกหญ้า ลำต้นตั้งตรง โคนต้นทอดนอนไปตามพื้น ปลายตั้งตรง มีรากออกตามข้อ [1]

ผล : เป็นผลที่ไม่สมบูรณ์ [1]

ใบ : เป็นรูปยาวแคบแกมรูปหอก ยาว 7-15 ซม. เรียงสลับซ้ายขวา ในแนวระนาบ หลังใบและขอบใบมีขนเล็กน้อย มีลิ้นใบบาง ยาว 2 มม. [1]
