ดอก : ดอกตัวผู้และตัวเมียอยู่คนละต้นกัน มีสีขาวนวล กลิ่นหอมอ่อนๆ [2]

ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อ ห้อยลง ดอกเพศผู้มีสีเหลืองหรือสีนวล กลีบดอกยาวประมาณ 2 ซม. กลิ่นหอม กลีบดอกบานโคนกลีบเชื่อมกันเป็นหลอด ด้านในมีหลอดเกสร ดอกเพศเมีย ออกเป็นกระจุก หรือเป็นดอกเดี่ยว กลีบดอกยาวประมาณ 2.5 นิ้ว มีสีเหลือง โคนกลีบเชื่อมกันเป็นหลอด ด้านในมีหลอดเกสร [1]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ยืนต้น เนื้ออ่อน [2]

ต้น : เป็นไม้เนื้ออ่อน ฉ่ำน้ำ สูงประมาณ 3-4 เมตร ลำต้นตรง ภายในกลวง ไม่แตกกิ่ง ผิวเปลือกค่อนข้างขรุขระ [1]

ถิ่นที่พบ : เป็นพรรณไม้พื้นเมืองของประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกากลางเขตร้อน [1]

ผล : รูปร่างกลมป้อมถึงรียาว ผลดิบมีเนื้อสีขาว ผลสุกจะเปลี่ยนเป็นสีส้มหรือแดงส้ม [2]

ผล : เป็นรูปกลม หรือกลมยาวรี ยาวประมาณ 4-12 นิ้ว เปลือกของผลอ่อนมีสีเขียว เนื้อในเป็นสีขาว เมื่อสุกจะเปลี่ยนเป็นสีเหลืองส้ม เนื้อนุ่ม มีเมล็ดสีดำหรือน้ำตาลดำ เส้นผ่านศูนย์กลาง ประมาณ 4-5 มม. ยาว 6-7 มม. [1]

ใบ : ออกเป็นกลุ่มที่ยอดลำต้น มีสีเขียว เป็นหยักลึกเข้าหากลางใบ 7-11 หยัก [2]

ใบ : ใบเป็นหยัก เว้าลึก เป็นแฉกประมาณ 7-9 แฉก แต่ละแฉกมีรอยเว้าเล็กๆ เส้นผ่านศูนย์กลางของใบ ประมาณ 1-2 ฟุต [1]
