ดอก : ช่อดอกยาว 20-29 เซนติเมตร มี 4-8 racemes แต่ละ raceme ยาว 2.6-3.5 เซนติเมตร ดอกย่อยสีเขียวออกเหลือง อับเรณู สีเหลืองอ่อน หรือสีขาวนวล ยอดเกสรเพศเมีย สีขาวนวล ออกดอกตลอดปี ติดเมล็ดเร็ว [1]

ดอก : เป็นช่อ ก้านดอกกลมยาวประมาณ 10-20 เซนติเมตร ปลายก้านดอกมีช่อดอกย่อยแตกออกจากจุดกึ่งกลาง 3-6 ช่อ แต่ละช่อยาวประมาณ 3-4 เซนติเมตร ดอกย่อยมีขนาดเล็ก สีขาวแซมเขียว แบนๆ ออกเรียงติดกัน [2]

ต้น : เป็นพืชล้มลุกจำพวกหญ้า ลำต้นกลม เป็นปล้องกลวง กว้าง 5 มิลลิเมตร ลำต้นตั้งสูงประมาณ 20 เซนติเมตร มักแตกต้นใหม่จากข้อที่ติดอยู่กับพื้นดินแล้วมีราก [2]

ต้น : เป็นพืชอายุปีเดียว มีลำต้นบนดิน ต้นอวบน้ำ แตกรากตามข้อที่สัมผัสดิน สูง 50-82 เซนติเมตร ลำต้นมีความยาว 29-58 เซนติเมตร เส้นผ่าศูนย์กลาง 1.6-2.5 มิลลิเมตร ลำต้น และกาบใบไม่มีขน ส่วนที่ถูกแสงแดดจะมีสีเขียวค่อนข้างเข้ม ข้อมีสีเขียวอ่อนกว่าลำต้น [1]

ผล : มีลักษณะเป็นผลรวมในผลหนึ่งๆ จะมีเมล็ดอยู่จำนวนมาก [2]

ใบ : มีลักษณะแบนเรียบ นุ่ม ใบเรียวไปที่ปลายใบ ขอบใบมีขนยาว หน้าใบมีขนน้อยถึงปานกลาง หลังใบมีขนหนาแน่นมาก ใบกว้าง 0.6-1.0 เซนติเมตร ยาว 6.5-16.0 เซนติเมตร กาบใบมีขนยาวจำนวนเล็กน้อย และบีบตัวเป็นสันแบน มีความยาว 3-6 เซนติเมตร รอยต่อฐานใบและกาบใบมีปุย ขนสีขาว ยาว 2-3 มิลลิเมตร ลิ้นใบเป็นแผ่นสีน้ำตาล ปลายลุ่ย [1]

ใบ : ใบรูปหอกยาวประมาณ 6-8 เซนติเมตร ปลายแหลม โคนเรียวมนมีขนเห็นชัด [2]
