ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อตรงกลางต้น ก้านช่อดอกชูตั้งตรงมีความยาวมาก ดอกเป็นหลอดบานจากล่างไปด้านบน ดอกมีสีแดงอมเหลือง [1]

ต้น : เป็นไม้พุ่มขนาดเล็กจำพวกว่าน [1]

ก่อนใช้ว่านหางจระเข้ควรทดสอบก่อนว่าแพ้หรือไม่ โดยเอาวุ้นทาบริเวณท้องแขนด้านใน ถ้าไม่คันหรือแดงก็ใช้ได้

ถ้าใช้ภายนอกไม่ควรนำยางสีเหลืองใสๆ ที่ติดกับเปลือกมาใช้ เพราะอาจทำให้ระคายเคืองได้ ควรล้างให้สะอาดและใช้แต่วุ้นใสๆ เท่านั้น
