ดอก : ออกดอกเดี่ยว ๆ มีสีม่วงแดง หรือสีขาว ลักษณะของดอกเป็นฝอย ออกเป็นกระจุก ตรงโคนดอกมีกลีบเลี้ยง 3 กลีบ มีก้านดอกยาวและแข็ง [4]

ดอก : เป็นช่อแทงออกจากกลางต้น ก้านช่อแตกแขนงได้ ดอกย่อยขนาดเล็ก กลีบดอกสีม่วง ออกเป็นกระจุกที่ปลายก้านดอก รองรับด้วยใบประดับแข็ง [2]

ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้ล้มลุก ลำต้นตั้งตรง แตกกิ่งก้านสาขามากออกเป็นกอเตี้ย ๆ ลักษณะของลำต้นจะคล้ายกับผักชีฝรั่ง มีรากอวบ ลำต้นสูงประมาณ 5-15 นิ้ว [4]

ถิ่นที่พบ : พบทั่วไปตามทุ่งหญ้าแถวป่าทางภาคเหนือและภาคตะวันออก [5]

ผล : ผลแห้ง เป็นสันมีอยู่ 10 สัน และยาวประมาณ 4 มม. มีขนนุ่ม ๆ ปกคลุมรอบผล [4]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว ออกใบรอบ ๆ โคนต้น ลักษณะของใบปลายมนหรือแหลม โคนใบสอบและแคบกว่าปลายใบ ใบคล้ายกับใบผักกาด ทั้งสองด้านมีขนปกคลุมอยู่มีสีเขียว แต่ก็อาจจะมีส่วนคล้ายใบผักชีฝรั่งบ้างคือขอบใบจะจักเป็นซี่ฟันตื้น ๆ ขนาดของใบกว้างประมาณ 0.5-2.5 นิ้ว ยาว 2-12 นิ้ว [4]

ใบ : ใบเดี่ยวเรียงสลับเป็นวง รูปขอบขนานหรือรูปใบหอกกลับ กว้าง 2-6 ซม. ยาว 10-25 ซม. มักแผ่ราบไปกับผิวดิน ขอบใบหยักฟันเลื่อย ท้องใบมีขนมากกว่าหลังใบ [2]
