ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อ ยาวประมาณ 4-8 นิ้ว ซึ่งออกอยู่บริเวณปลายยอด ลักษณะของดอกมีทั้งดอกเพศผู้และเมีย ซึ่งมักจะแยกกันคนละต้น ลักษณะของดอกเพศผู้ กลีบรองกลีบดอกมี 5 กลีบ โคนกลีบดอกจะเชื่อมติดกันเป็นรูประฆัง ปลายกลีบดอกแยกออกเป็นแฉก รูปค่อนข้างกลม มีขนขึ้นประปราย ฐานดอกเป็นรูปถ้วยนูน ตรงกลางดอกมีเกสรตัวผู้มี 5 อัน ยาวราว 2-2.5 มม. สำหรับดอกเพศเมียจะมีลักษณะฐานดอกและกลีบรองกลีบดอก เหมือนกับดอกเพศผู้ แต่ตรงกลางดอกเป็นเกสรตัวเมียยาวราว 2-2.5 มม. ยอดเกสรมี 3 พู [1] [2]

ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้พุ่มเลื้อย มีความสูงประมาณ 2-10 ม. ลักษณะเนื้อไม้เป็นสีน้ำตาลแดง [1] [2]

ถิ่นที่พบ : พบตามป่าดิบ ป่าเบญจพรรณชื้น [3]

ผล : มีลักษณะค่อนข้างกลม ปลายผลมียอดเกสรตัวเมียติดอยู่ ผลมีขนาดกว้างประมาณ 5-8 มม. ยาวประมาณ 5-10 มม. ผลแก่เต็มที่เกสรอยู่ปลายผลก็จะหลุดออก ผลแตกออกเป็นห้อง 3 ห้อง [1]

เมล็ด : เนื้อหุ้มเมล็ดมีสีแดง เมล็ดเป็นรูปรี มีความกว้างราว 2-3 มม. ยาวราว 3.5-5 มม. [1]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว มีลักษณะเป็นรูปไข่ หรือรูปรี โคนใบสอบเข้าหากันมน ส่วนปลายใบแหลม หรือมน ริมขอบใบหยัก ละเอียดเป็นฟันเลื่อย หลังใบมีพื้นผินเรียบ ใต้ท้องใบจะมีเส้นใบมี 5-8 คู่ เห็นได้ชัด ขนาดของใบกว้างประมาณ 1-2.5 นิ้ว ยาวประมาณ 2-6 นิ้ว มีก้านใบยาวประมาณ 0.5-1.5 ซม. [1] [2]
