ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อ ลักษณะเป็นกระจุกคล้ายร่ม ดอกสีขาวออกม่วง มีดอกย่อยวงนอกเป็นเส้นสีขาวออกมา 1 วง ส่วนกลางของช่อดอกเป็นดอกย่อยที่มีทั้งเกสรตัวผู้และเกสรตัวเมียในดอกเดียวกัน กลีบดอกมีลักษณะเป็นหลอด ส่วยปลายแยกออกเป็น 5 กลีบ [2]

ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อ อยู่ตรงส่วนยอดของต้น ลักษณะของดอกที่โคนกลีบดอกเชื่อมติดกันเป็นหลอด และตรงปลายจะแยกออกเป็น 5 กลีบ สีน้ำเงินอมม่วงอ่อน หรือสีขาวม่วง [6]

ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้ล้มลุก แตกกิ่งก้านสาขามากมาย ดูเป็นทรงพุ่ม ตามลำต้นและกิ่งก้านจะมีขนนุ่มประปราย ลำต้นสูงประมาณ 3-5 ฟุต [6]

ต้น : เป็นพืชปีเดียวตาย ต้นสูง 1-3 เมตร ก้านมีริ้วรอย ปกคลุมด้วยขน [2]

ผล : มีขนาดเล็ก มีห้าเหลี่ยม ส่วนปลายมีขนช่วยพยุงให้ลอยไปตกได้ไกล ๆ ออกดอกในฤดูหนาว มักพบตามที่รกร้างทั่วไป ชอบขึ้นตามที่มีแสงแดดมากๆ ตามทุ่งกว้าง ริมถนน [2]

ผล : มีขนาดเล็ก แห้ง เรียวบาง มีสีดำ ซึ่งผลนี้จะเป็นสัน หรือเป็นเหลี่ยม 5 เหลี่ยม ยาวประมาณ 4 มม. [6]

ใบ : ออกตรงข้ามกัน ลักษณะค่อนมาทางรูปสามเหลี่ยม ตัวใบยาว 3-10 ซม. ปลายใบแหลม ฐานใบกว้างใหญ่ หรือกลม ๆ ขอบใบมีรอยหยักคล้ายฟันขนาดใหญ่ มีขนปกคลุมทั้ง 2 ด้าน ด้านท้องใบมีขนหนาแน่นกว่าหลังใบ [2]

ใบ : เป็นไม้ใบเดี่ยว ออกตรงข้ามกันเป็นคู่ ๆ ลักษณะของใบเป็นรูปหอก ปลายแหลม โคนใบสอบแคบ ขอบใบจักเป็นฟันเลื่อย ตัวใบจะมีขนปกคลุมทั่วทั้งใบ มีสีเขียวขนาดของใบกว้างประมาณ 1-2.5 นิ้ว ยาว 2-4 นิ้ว ก้านใบยาว 1-2 นิ้ว มีขนปกคลุมด้วย [6]
