| ดอก : มีขนาดเล็กๆ เป็นช่อ เมื่อแก่แตกออก เห็นเมล็ดสีดำมัน ขนาดเท่าเมล็ดพริกไทย ติดเป็นพวง [3] |
| ดอก : เป็นดอกช่อยาว 16-40 ซม. มีช่อด้านข้างยาว 2-5 ซม. ผิวเกลี้ยง ดอกเพศผู้ ยาว 2-3 มม. ผิวเกลี้ยง กลีบเลี้ยงสีเขียวอ่อน ขาว หรือเหลือง ดอกเพศเมีย มีกลีบดอกเหมือนดอกเพศผู้ เส้นผ่านศูนย์กลางราว 7 มม. [1] |
| ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้เถา ลักษณะของเถานั้นจะกลม และโตเท่าขาของคนเรา หรือขนาดใหญ่จะโตเท่าต้นหมาก มีเถายาวและเลื้อยพันขึ้นไปตามต้นไม้หรือตามพื้นดิน เถาอ่อนหรือกิ่งของเถาอ่อนจะมีหนาม สีผิวของเถาจะเป็นสีดำแดงคร่ำและจะแตกเป็นร่องระแหง [6] |
| ถิ่นที่พบ : มีถิ่นกำเนิดอยู่ทางแถบป่า จังหวัดปราจีนบุรี [7] |
| ผล : ออกเป็นช่อ มีช่อผลด้านข้าง เป็นชนิดผลสด มีสีขาวถึงม่วง ผิวเกลี้ยง ทรงกลม เส้นผ่านศูนย์กลาง 9-11 มม. ผนังผลชั้นในรูปไตเกือบกลม มีเมล็ดเดียว [1] |
| เมล็ด (ผล) : ผลแก่เต็มที่มีสีแดง เมล็ดมีลักษณะเป็นรูปพระจันทร์เสี้ยว เมล็ดมีรสขมมาก มักจะใช้เบื่อปลา [6] |
| ใบ : มีลักษณะเป็นรูป 3 เหลี่ยมหน้าจั่ว ตรงปลายใบของมันจะแหลม ใบยาวประมาณ 7-10 ซม ก้านใบยาวประมาณ 2.4-7 ซม. [6] |
| ใบ : รูปไข่กว้าง ปลายแหลม เนื้อใบบาง [3] |
| ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว รูปไข่ ขนาดยาว 10-28 ซม. กว้าง 8-24 ซม. ฐานใบหยักเว้า รูปหัวใจ มีเส้นกลางใบแยกจากโคนใบรูปนิ้วมือ ผิวเกลี้ยงทั้งสองด้าน มีต่อมขนเล็กๆ อยู่ตรงโคน แยกระหว่างเส้นกลางใบ และเส้นแขนงใบ ก้านใบเกลี้ยงยาว 6-18 ซม. [1] |

การเกิดพิษ คลื่นไส้ อาเจียน ปวดศีรษะ มีไข้ ชัก และตายเนื่องจากหัวใจหยุดเต้น lethal dose (ขนาดของยาที่ทำให้ตาย) ของ picrotoxin 20 mg |
