ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อ มี 4-6 ดอก ดอกสีม่วงแกมเขียว ถึงสีม่วง มีใบประดับ 2 คู่ สีเขียวหรือสีม่วงดำ [1]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ล้มลุก มีเหง้าใต้ดิน เป็นรูปทรงกระบอก สูง 30-50 ซม. [1]

ผล : เป็นผลสด รูปขอบขนานแกมสามเหลี่ยม มีสันเป็นคลื่นตามยาว มีเมล็ดเป็นรูปไต [1]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว รูปรี รูปขอบขนาน หรือรูปใบหอก ก้านใบแผ่เป็นครีบ [1]
