ดอก : เป็นดอกเดี่ยว มีริ้วประดับเป็นรูปหอก 5-8 ริ้ว กลีบเลี้ยงเป็นรูประฆัง โคนกลีบเชื่อมกัน ปลายแยกเป็น 5 แฉก มีกลีบดอก 5 กลีบ เป็นรูปไข่กลับ ด้านนอกมีขนรูปดาว ด้านในเกลี้ยง [2]

ดอก : เป็นดอกเดี่ยว ออกระหว่างใบ มี 5 กลีบ ดอกมีหลายสี เช่น สีแดง ขาว เหลือง ปลายดอกจะมนและกลม [1]

ต้น : เป็นไม้พุ่ม กิ่งอ่อน ก้านใบ ก้านดอก ริ้วประดับ และกลีบเลี้ยงมีขนรูปดาว [2]

ต้น : เป็นไม้พุ่มขนาดย่อม เป็นไม้เนื้ออ่อน เปลือกเหนียวมาก ลำต้นสูงประมาณ 6-7 ฟุต [1]

ถิ่นที่พบ : มีถิ่นกำเนิดอยู่ในประเทศที่มีอากาศร้อน เช่น มาเลเชีย ไทย จีน หมู่เกาะฮาวาย [1]

เกสร : มีก้านเกสรยาว ยื่นออกมาพ้นจากกลางดอก เกสรตัวผู้เป็นสีเหลือง เกาะอยู่หนาแน่นบนท่อเกสร เกสรตัวเมียอยู่ปลายสุด [1]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว รูปไข่ ปลายใบเรียวแหลม โคนใบมน ขอบใบจักฟันเลื่อย มีขนรูปดาวที่ผิวใบทั้ง 2 ด้าน มีหูใบเป็นรูปเส้นด้าย ยาว 6-8 มม. [2]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยวมีสีเขียว ใบโต ฐานใบกว้าง ใบรูปมน ปลายใบแหลม ขอบใบจะเป็นจักใหญ่ คล้ายฟันเลื่อย เมื่อขยี้จะมีเมือกเหนียวๆ ใบยาวประมาณ 6 ซม. กว้างประมาณ 5-7 ซม. [1]
