| ดอก : ดอกช่อแยกเพศ ช่อดอกตัวผู้เป็นกระจุกรูปซี่ร่ม ออกที่ซอกใบ ยาว 4-16 ซม. กลีบเลี้ยง 6 กลีบ สีเขียวเรียงเป็น 2 วง วงนอกกลีบเลี้ยงรูปใบหอกกลับ วงในกลีบเลี้ยงรูปไข่กลับ กลีบดอก 3 กลีบ สีส้ม รูปสามเหลี่ยมแกมไข่กลับ ยาว 1.25 มม. ดอกตัวเมียออกเป็นกระจุกแน่นกว่า กลีบเลี้ยงรูปวงรีมี 1 กลีบ กลีบดอกรูปคล้ายโล่ มี 2 กลีบ [5] |
| ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อ เป็นกระจุก ๆ สีแดงสวยมาก [1] |
| ดอก : ออกเป็นตามซอกใบ แต่ละช่อมีดอกย่อยเป็นกระจุกๆ เวลาบานมี 3 แฉก สีแดงสวยมาก [3] |
| ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้เถา ชอบพาดพันไปตามต้นไม้ หรือถ้าปลูกต้องทำค้างให้พัน จะมีลักษณะคล้ายจำพวกบอระเพ็ดเถากลม
หัวหรือเหง้า จะมีลักษณะคล้ายกับหัวบัวบก หัวนั้นจะเล็ก หรือใหญ่แล้วแต่อายุของว่าน [1] |
| ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้เถา หากดูผิวเผินระยะที่ห่าง จะคล้ายกับ "บอระเพ็ด" ทั่วไป ที่ต่างกัน มีหัว หรือเหง้าขนาดใหญ่ มีเส้นผ่านศูนย์กลางถึง 40 ซม. บางส่วนโผล่เหนือดิน ลำต้น หรือเถากลมพาดไปยังต้นไม้อื่นไกลถึง 20 เมตร [3] |
| ต้น : ไม้เลื้อย มีน้ำยางสีแดง โคนต้นเป็นหัว เส้นผ่านศูนย์กลางถึง 40 ซม. [5] |
| ถิ่นที่พบ : มีถิ่นกำเนิดอยู่ที่จังหวัดสระบุรี [6] |
| ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว ออกตามเถาและกิ่งมีก้านใบสีแดง ใบรูปทรงรีกึ่งรูปหัวใจ โคนใบมนมีเว้า ปลายใบแหลม ขอบใบมีเหลี่ยมเล็กน้อย หากเด็ดก้านมียางสีแดงออกมา เมื่อใส่ในสุราจะทำให้สุราสีแดงด้วย [3] |
| ใบ : ใบเดี่ยวเรียงสลับ รูปไข่แกนสามเหลี่ยม กว้าง 7-12 ซม. ยาว 6-11 ซม. ปลายมนหรือเว้าตื้น โคนใบตัดเป็นรูปหัวใจ ท้องใบมีขนและคราบสีขาว ก้านใบยาว 5-15 ซม. [5] |
| ใบ : ใบโต เป็นสีเขียวและมีเหลี่ยม ส่วนก้านใบนั้นจะเป็นสีแดง ถ้าเราเด็ดก้านมัน จะเห็นยางสีแดงออกมา คล้ายหยดเลือด นำไปใส่ในสุราจะทำให้สุรานั้นมีสีแดง [1] |
