ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อที่ซอกใบตอนปลายกิ่งหรือที่ปลายกิ่ง กลีบดอกสีเหลือง [1]

ดอก : ออกเป็นช่ออยู่ตรงส่วนยอดของต้น ดอกมีสีเหลืองกลางดอกเป็นสีแดง [5]

ดอก : เป็นช่อกระจะ ออกใกล้กันบริเวณปลายกิ่ง ก้านดอกยาว 15-20 มม. แต่ละช่อมีหลายสิบดอก กลีบเลี้ยงและกลีบดอกมีอย่างละ 5 กลีบ ดอกสีเหลืองอร่าม มีกลิ่นหอมแรง ออกดอกระหว่างเดือนมิถุนายน-กันยายน [3]

ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้ยืนต้นที่มีขนาดกลาง ตามลำต้นและกิ่งก้านจะมีหนาม ซึ่งโคนหนามนี้พอง [5]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ต้นขนาดเล็กหรือไม้พุ่มรอเลื้อย สูง 8-10 ม. มีหนามแข็งๆ ทั่วทั้งลำต้น ผลัดใบแต่ผลิใบไว จะแตกกิ่งแขนงชิดพื้นดิน เลื้อยพาดเกาะไม้อื่นไปได้ถึง 10 ม. เปลือกนอก สีเทาออกเหลือง มีปมใหญ่ขนาดปลายนิ้วชี้ทั่วทั้งเถา ส่วนปลายกิ่งจะมีหนามแหลมสีดำ ถ้าปมหนามหลุดจะเป็นรอยแผลเป็น [3]

ต้น : ไม้พุ่ม สูง 5-8 เมตร มีหนามทั่วไป [1]

ผล : เป็นฝัก เมื่อแห้งจะแข็งและแตกอ้าออก ฝักแก่สีน้ำตาลแก่เป็นจุดๆ รูปรี ปลายฝักมีจะงอยแหลม ภายในมี 2-4 เมล็ด ผลแก่ ระหว่างเดือนสิงหาคม-กุมภาพันธ์ [3]

ผล : เป็นฝักรูปสี่เหลี่ยม แข็ง สีน้ำตาลเข้ม และที่ผิวฝักจะมีลายจุด ๆ แต้มอยู่ ซึ่งรูปร่างนั้นจะคล้ายกับถั่วแปบ ฝักของฝางนี้มีอยู่ 2 ชนิด คือชนิดแก่นสีเหลืองเรียกว่า "ฝางส้ม" และ แก่นสีแดงเข้มเรียกว่า "ฝางเสน" ตรงปลายฝักนี้จะยาวแหลมยื่นออกมาเล็กน้อย [5]

ผล : เป็นฝักแบน สีน้ำตาล [1]

ใบ : ประกอบแบบขนนกสองชั้น เรียงสลับ ใบย่อยรูปไข่ หรือรูปขอบขนาน กว้าง 0.6-0.8 ซม. ยาว 1.5-1.8 ซม. โคนใบเฉียง [1]

ใบ : เป็นประกอบแบบขนนก 2 ชั้น เรียงสลับกัน ช่อใบยาว 15-45 ซม. มีช่อใบย่อย 8-16 คู่ แต่ละช่อย่อยมีใบย่อย 7-18 คู่ ใบย่อยขนาดเล็ก 6-10x10-20 มม. ปลายมน โคนเบี้ยว ผิวใบเกลี้ยงทั้งสองด้าน [3]

ใบ : เป็นไม้ใบรวม ลักษณะการเรียงใบคล้ายกับใบหางนกยูงไทย มีสีเขียว [5]
