| ดอก : ดอกสีขาวม่นหรือสีเทา ออกเป็นช่อที่ปลายกิ่ง กลีบเลี้ยง ขนาดเล็กรูประฆัง ปลายแยกเป็น 5 แฉก กลีบดอกขนาดเล็กยาวประมาณ 0.5 เซนติเมตร โคนเป็นหลอด ปลายแยกเป็น 2 ส่วน ส่วนบน 2 กลีบ ส่วนล่าง 3 กลีบ เกสรตัวผู้ 4 อัน สั้น 2 อัน ยาว 2 อัน [2] |
| ดอก : ดอกขนาดเล็ก มีจำนวนมาก ออกดอกเป็นช่ออยู่ตรงปลายยอด [1] |
| ต้น : เป็นไม้พุ่ม สูงประมาณ 6 เมตร กิ่งนั้นจะมีกลิ่นหอม กิ่งอ่อนจะเป็นเหลี่ยม มีสีเทาและมีขนอ่อนปกคลุมด้วย [1] |
| ต้น : ไม้พุ่มขนาดใหญ่ สูงได้ถึง 4.5 เมตร กิ่งอ่อนเป็นสี่เหลี่ยม [2] |
| ถิ่นที่พบ : มีถิ่นกำเนิดในทวีปอเมริกา [5] |
| ผล : มีลักษณะกลม แห้งเปลือกแข็ง มีสีน้ำตาล รูปกลมรี มีเส้นผ่านศูนย์กลางประมาณ 2.5 มม. [1] |
| ใบ : ใบประกอบรูปนิ้วมือ ออกตรงข้าม ใบย่อย 5 ใบ บางครั้ง 3 ใบ รูปรีแกมรูปไข่ หรือรูปใบหอก กว้างประมาณ 1.5 เซนติเมตร ยาว 3-10 เซนติเมตร ปลายแหลมเป็นติ่งสั้น โคนแหลมขอบจักเป็นฟันเลื่อย หรือเรียบ ด้านล่างใบสีนวลเทา [2] |
| ใบ : ใบมีกลิ่นหอม ออกตรงกันข้าม มีลักษณะคล้ายรูปมือ ใบย่อยประมาณ 5 หรือ 3 ใบ ตรงปลายใบยาวแหลม ขอบใบเรียบหรือมีรอยหยักเล็กน้อย หลังใบมีสีเขียวเข้ม และตรงท้องใบมีสีขาว ปกคลุมด้วย ขนอ่อน [1] |
