ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อ บริเวณปลายกิ่ง กลีบดอก และกลีบรองดอก โคนกลีบดอกเชื่อมกันเป็นท่อ ปลายแยกเป็น 5 กลีบ ดอกที่บานตอนแรกจะมีสีขาวอมเหลือง เมื่อบานเต็มที่จะเปลี่ยนป็นสีม่วง หรือแดงม่วง [1]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ยืนต้น ผลัดใบ เปลือกลำต้นสีน้ำตาล มีน้ำยางสีขาว [1]

ถิ่นที่พบ : พบขึ้นตามป่าเบญจพรรณ ป่าโปร่ง [1]

ผล : เป็นฝัก ทรงกระบอก ผิวฝักขรุขระ แก่เต็มที่จะแตกออก ภายในมีเมล็ดรูปยาวจำนวนมาก [1]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว รูปรีป้อม หรือรูปไข่ ปลายใบเรียวแหลม โคนใบแหลม ขอบใบเรียบ เนื้อใบบาง [1]
