[#116] ต้น ข่าต้น

ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อ สีขาวหรือเหลืองอ่อน มีกลิ่นหอม ออกดอกตามปลายกิ่งเป็นกระจุกยาว 2.5-7.5 ซม. ก้านช่อดอกจะเรียวยาวและเล็กมาก [1] [3]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ยืนต้น ไม่ผลัดใบ เรือนยอดเป็นพุ่มทึบ สีเขียวเข้ม ลำต้นเรียบไม่มีพูพอน เปลือกต้นสีเทาอมเขียวหรืออมน้ำตาล ค่อนข้างเรียบ แตกเป็นร่องยาวตามลำต้น เมื่อถากเปลือกออกจะมีกลิ่นหอม กิ่งมีลักษณะอ่อนเรียว เกลี้ยงและมักมีคราบขาว [1] [3]

ถิ่นที่พบ : ขึ้นตามเชิงเขา พบมากที่เชิงเขาสระบาป และบ้านอ่าง จังหวัดจันทบุรี ตามป่าจังหวัดปราจีนบุรี สระบุรี [4]

ผล : มีขนาดเล็กและกลม ขนาดเส้นผ่าศูนย์กลางประมาณ 7 มม. ผลอ่อนมีสีเขียว ผลแก่มีสีม่วงดำ ก้านผลเรียว ยาวประมาณ 3-5 ซม. [2]

เนื้อไม้ : ฟ่ามเบาเป็นสีน้ำตาลอ่อนๆ และมีกลิ่นหอมฉุน ร้อนๆ คล้ายกลิ่นการะบูน หรือคล้ายกับกลิ่นของเทพธาโร [2]

เนื้อไม้ : มีสีเทาแกมน้ำตาล มีกลุ่มหอมฉุน มีริ้วสีเขียวแกมเหลือง เนื้อไม้เป็นมันเลื่อม เสี้ยนตรง หรือสับสน เป็นคลื่นบ้างเล็กน้อย เหนียว แข็งพอประมาณ [1] [3]

ใบ : ดกและหนาทึบเป็นไม้ร่มได้ดี [2]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว ออกเรียงสลับกัน เป็นใบรูปรีแกมรูปไข่ หรือรูปไข่แกมรูปขอบขนาน เนื้อใบค่อนข้างหนา ผิวใบเกลี้ยง ท้องใบมีคราบขาว ปลายใบแหลม โคนใบแหลมและกลม ยาวประมาณ 7-20 ซม. ก้านใบเรียวเล็ก 2.5-3.5 ซม. [1] [3]
