ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อ เป็นแท่งยาว ช่อดอกมีกาบหุ้มยาวประมาณ 23 ซม. กาบกว้างประมาณ 7.5 ซม. ก้านช่อดอกเป็นสีเลือดนกปนน้ำตาล หรือสีแดงเข้ม ดอกเพศเมียอยู่ตรงโคนแท่ง เหนืออกเพศเมียเป็นดอกฝ่อ เป็นสีขาวถัดไปเป็นที่ว่าง เหนือที่ว่างนั้นจะเป็นดอกเพศผู้เป็นสีชมพู เมื่อดอกบานเต็มที่จะมีกลิ่นเหม็น [1]

ดอก : เป็นชนิดสปาดิกซ์ (spadix) คล้ายดอกหน้าวัว มีจานรองดอก (spathe) ขนาดใหญ่ ด้านนอกมีสีเขียวอ่อน หรือเขียวปนน้ำตาล ด้านในหรือด้านบนเป็นสีม่วงคล้ำ ปลีดอกมีกาบหุ้มสีแดง เมื่อบานจะเห็นดอกสีเหลืองอ่อนหรือสีขาว มีกลิ่นเหม็น ยาวประมาณ 6-15 ซม. ดอกบานแล้วติดเป็นผล [3]

ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้ล้มลุก มีหัวอยู่ใต้ดิน หัวจะเล็กเป็นรูปเกือบจะกลม วัดเส้นผ่านศูนย์กลางได้ประมาณ 1.2 ซม. [1]

ต้น : ไม้ล้มลุก มีลำต้นอยู่ใต้ดินมีลักษณะเป็นหัว [3]

ถิ่นที่พบ : มีถิ่นกำเนิดอยู่ในเขตร้อน ของทวีปเอเชีย พบขึ้นทั่วไปในที่ร่มเย็น [4]

ผล : ผลสด มีลักษณะเป็นรูปขอบขนาน ภายในจะมีเมล็ดอยู่ [1]

ผล : รูปขอบขนาน ภายในมีเมล็ด 1 เมล็ด พบขึ้นทั่วไปบริเวณที่มีร่มเงา ในสวนผลไม้ สวนพันธุ์ไม้ประดับหรือสนามหญ้า [3]

ใบ : มีลักษณะเป็นแฉกกลางรูปไข่ปลายแหลม ใบเป็นสีเขียวมีลาย หรือจุดประสีม่วง ก้านใบมีความยาวประมาณ 37.5 ซม. ใบเป็นหยัก 3 แฉก มีความกว้างและยาวประมาณ 25-30 ซม. [1]

ใบ : ส่วนของก้านและใบเจริญขึ้นมาเป็นกอ ใบมีขนาดใหญ่แผ่กว้างขอบแบ่งออกเป็น 3 แฉก ย่นเป็นลอนเล็กน้อย ใบมีสีเขียว ก้านใบยาวสีเขียว มีลาย หรือจุดประสีม่วง [3]
