ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อใหญ่สวย ก้านช่อยาวพุ่งออกมาจากใต้ดิน ก้านช่อดอกยาวประมาณ 5-8 ซม. ส่วนใบประดับสีเขียวอ่อนๆ หรือ สีขาว ตรงปลายช่อดอกมีสีชมพูอ่อน เรียงซ้อนกันอย่างเป็นระเบียบ ใบประดับ 1 ใบ มีดอกอยู่ 2 ดอก ใบประดับย่อยเป็นรูปขอบจะขนานยาว 3-3.5 ซม. กลีบรองกลีบดอกเชื่อมติดกันเป็นรูปท่อ มีขน กลีบดอกมีสีขาว ตรงโคนเชื่อมติดกันเป็นท่อยาว ปลายแยกเป็น 3 ส่วน [1]

ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้ล้มลุก มีเหง้าอยู่ใต้ดินมากเป็นพรรณไม้เดียวกันกับว่านหรือขิง มีลำต้นสูงประมาณ 50-70 ซม. เนื้อในจะมีสีเหลืองอมส้ม และมีกลิ่นหอม [1]

รังไข่ : มีอยู่ 3 ช่อง แต่ละช่องนั้น จะมีไข่อ่อนอยู่ 2 ใบ [1]

เกสร : เกสรตัวผู้มีลักษณะคล้ายกลีบดอก มีขน ส่วนอับเรณูจะอยู่ใกล้ๆปลายท่อเกสรตัวเมีย และยอดเกสรตัวเมียเป็นรูปปากแตรเกลี้ยง [1]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยวขนาดใหญ่ รูปหอกแกมขนานกัน กว้างประมาณ 8-10 ซม. และยาวประมาณ 30-40 ซม. ก้านใบยาวประมาณ 8-15 ซม. เป็นก้านใบแคบ ๆ มีร่องแผ่คลี่ออกเล็กน้อย หน้าแล้งใบจะแห้งเหลือเหง้าใต้ดินอยู่ ห้ามรดน้ำเพราะ ถ้าแฉะไปเหง้าก็จะเน่า แต่ถ้าฤดูฝน ฝนตกก็จะแทงต้นใหม่และออกดอก [1]
