| ดอก : ออกเป็นช่ออยู่ตรงส่วนยอดของต้น ก้านช่อดอกจะมีขนปกคลุมหนาแน่น ดอกมีสีแดงหรือสีขาว ปลายแยกออกเป็น 5 แฉก ดอกมีขนาดเล็กบานเต็มที่ประมาณ 7-8 มม. [1] |
| ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้ล้มลุกชนิดหนึ่ง ที่มีลำต้นตั้งตรง ตามลำต้นจะเป็นร่อง แต่ก็ค่อนข้างจะเกลี้ยงเล็กน้อย [1] |
| ต้น : เป็นไม้จำพวกต้นหญ้า ลำต้นเป็นเปลาะ ๆ แผ่เลื้อยไปตามดิน กิ่งหนึ่ง ๆ ยาวประมาณ 1-2 ฟุต แยกออกจากโคนต้นรอบต้น

| ผล : เป็นสีดำ มีสันอยู่ 5 สัน ผลจะแห้งรูปขอบขนาดแคบ [1] |
| ใบ : เป็นไม้ใบเดี่ยว ออกเรียงกันเป็นคู่ ๆ ไปตามข้อต้น ลักษณะขอบใบเป็นรูปมนรี ปลายแหลม โคนใบสอบแคบ ขอบใบจักเป็นฟันเลื่อย ผิวใบเกลี้ยง มีสีเขียว ขนาดของใบกว้างประมาณ 2 ซม. ยาว 7-11 ซม. [1] |
