ดอก : ดอกออกรวมกันเป็นกระจุก เป็นสีขาวนวลหรือสีเหลืองอ่อน ลักษณะของดอก มีกลีบรองกลีบดอก และกลีบดอกประมาณ 5-7 กลีบ กลีบรองกลีบดอก ส่วนโคนกลีบจะเชื่อมติดกัน เป็นท่อรูปกรวย ส่วนปลายกลีบจะแยกออกเป็นแฉก ขนาดยาวประมาณ 0.2-0.5 ซม. ดอกมีขนขึ้นประปราย [1]

ดอก : สีขาวนวล กลิ่นหอม ดอกออกเป็นกระจุกตามกิ่งเหนือรอยแผลใบ กลีบรองกลีบดอกเล็กมาก มีขนสีน้ำตาลปกคลุมด้านนอก โคนกลีบเชื่อมติดกัน ปลายเป็นแฉกเล็กๆ 6 แฉก กลีบดอกมี 6 กลีบ [2]

ดอก : เป็นดอกช่อออกตามลำต้นหรือกิ่งมีสีขาวนวล หรือเหลืองอ่อน มีกลีบดอก 6 กลีบ กลีบเลี้ยง 5 กลีบ ดอกมีกลิ่นหอม [3]

ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้พุ่มขนาดกลาง ลำต้นและกิ่งก้านเกลี้ยง หรืออาจมีขนเล็กน้อย บริเวณที่เป็นกิ่งอ่อน ลำต้นเหนือดิน ตั้งตรงได้เอง ผิวของลำต้นแตกเป็นสะเก็ด เห็นข้อปล้องไม่ชัดเจน ต้นอ่อนสีน้ำตาลแดง ต้นแก่สีน้ำตาลแกมเขียว ไม่มีน้ำยาง [1]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ยืนต้นขนาดเล็กถึงขนาดกลาง หรือไม้พุ่มกิ่งเล็ก มักมีหนามยาวๆ และมีใบเล็กๆ ออกตามปลายหนาม เปลือกสีน้ำตาล แตกล่อนเป็นสะเก็ด [2]

ถิ่นที่พบ : พบตามบริเวณป่าโปร่ง ของประเทศที่มีอากาศร้อน [4]

ถิ่นที่พบ : พบตามป่าเบญจพรรณแล้ง ในภาคกลาง ตะวันออก และภาคเหนือ [3]

ผล : ค่อนข้างป้อม มีเนื้อเยื่อบางๆ หุ้ม ปลายผลยังมีฐาน กลีบรองกลีบดอกอยู่ มีเมล็ดเดี่ยว [2]

ผล : เป็นรูปรี มีขนาดยาวประมาณ 1.5 ซม.กว้างประมาณ 0.9 ซม. มีสีดำ ปลายผลมีกลีบรองกลีบดอกอยู่ และกลางผลจะมีสันแข็งตลอดความยาวของผล [1]

เมล็ด : มี 1 เมล็ดต่อ 1 ผล [3]

ใบ : ใบมีลักษณะเป็นรูปรี โคนใบแคบแหลม ส่วนปลายใบแหลม หรือมีติ่งแหลมออกมา ริมขอบใบเรียบไม่มีหยัก ใต้ท้องใบจะมีเส้นใบประมาณ 3-6 คู่ เห็นได้ชัดมาก หน้าใบสีเขียวเข้มเป็นมัน ท้องใบสีเขียวอ่อนไม่เป็นมัน ขนาดของใบกว้างประมาณ 1-3 นิ้ว ยาวประมาณ 1.7-6 นิ้ว ก้านใบยาวประมาณ 0.5-6 นิ้ว [1] [3]

ใบ : ใบเดี่ยว รูปไข่กลับ รูปขอบขนานหรือรูปหอกกลับ โคนใบสอบเรียบ ปลายกว้างมีติ่งแหลมสั้นๆ ขอบใบมักเป็นคลื่น [2]
