[#10] อาหาร ทานสด

ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อคล้ายร่ม เดี่ยว ๆ หรือมีประมาณ 2-5 ช่อหนึ่งมักจะมีประมาณ 3-4 ดอก ดอกเป็นสีม่วงอมแดง ก้านช่อดอกยาวประมาณ 0.5-5 ซม. ริ้วประดับมี 2-3 ใบ [4]

ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้ล้มลุก อยู่ในจำพวกผัก ลำต้นชอบเลื้อยไปตามพื้นดินที่ชื้น [4]

ต้น : เป็นไม้เลื้อย มีลำต้นเลื้อยไปตามดินที่เรียกว่าไหล มีรากงอกออกตามข้อของลำต้น [1]

ถิ่นที่พบ : เป็นพรรณไม้เขตร้อน ขึ้นตามพื้นที่ชื้นๆ ทั่วไป [11]

ผล : มีลักษณะแบน มีเส้นผ่าศูนย์กลางยาวประมาณ 3-4 มม. [4]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว รูปร่างกลม ฐานใบโค้งเว้าเข้าหากัน ขอบใบเป็นคลื่นหยัก ก้านใบสีเขียว [1]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว ออกเป็นกระจุกที่ข้อ ข้อละ 2-10 ใบ มีลักษณะคล้ายรูปไต ใบกลมริมขอบใบจะเป็นจักเล็กน้อย [4]

ไม่ควรใช้สมุนไพรนี้กับแผลที่มีขนาดใหญ่ และแผลที่หนังแท้ หรือเนื้อถูกทำลายเพราะแผลที่ใหญ่และลึกอาจติดเชื้อได้ง่าย ต้องล้างสมุนไพรให้สะอาด และแช่ด่างทับทิม เพราะถ้าไม่สะอาด แผลอาจติดเชื้อได้ง่าย พบฤทธิ์คุมกำเนิดในหนูถีบจักร จึงควรระวังไม่ให้หญิงมีครรภ์

หากรับประทานบัวบกปริมาณสูง อาจทำให้เกิดการปวดศีรษะ เวียนหัว คลื่นไส้ อาเจียน ทำให้ง่วงเหงา มึนงง
