ดอก : ออกเดี่ยวๆ แต่มักรวมกันเป็นกระจุกและอยู่รอบข้อขนาด 2-3 มิลลิเมตร ไม่มีก้านดอก กลีบดอกสีขาว โคนติดกันเป็นหลอด ปลายแยกเป็น 4 แฉก ภายในหลอดดอกเป็นขน เกสรตัวผู้ 4 อัน ไม่มีก้านชูอับเรณู รังไข่อยู่ใต้วงกลีบมี 2 ช่อง แต่ละช่องมีออวุล 1 เม็ด [1] [4]

ต้น : เป็นไม้พุ่มอิงอาศัยอยู่บนต้นไม้ขนาดใหญ่ โคนโป่งออกกว้างยาว 15-20 ซม. สูง 5-10 ซม. ส่วนที่โป่งออกสีน้ำตาล เนื้อหนาคล้ายอวบน้ำ ภายในเป็นโพรงและมีช่องทะลุติดกัน ซึ่งเป็นที่อาศัยของมด ผิวด้านนอกเป็นคลื่นหยักลึกและเป็นมัน ถ้าโป่งมากผิวจะเป็นคลื่นตื้นๆ [1] [4]

ต้น : เป็นไม้พุ่มอิงอาศัยอยู่บนต้นไม้ ไม้กาฝาก ลำต้นตอนโคนโป่งพอง ภายในเป็นโพรงมีช่องทะลุถึงกัน เป็นที่อาศัยของมด [2] [6]

ถิ่นที่พบ : พบทางภาคตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ และภาคใต้ของประเทศ [2] [6]

ผล : รูปรี สีเขียว สุกแล้วเปลี่ยนเป็นสีแดงฉ่ำน้ำขนาด 5 มิลลิเมตร [4]

ใบ : ใบเดี่ยว เรียงตรงข้ามกัน แผ่นใบหนา อวบน้ำ รูปรีแกมรูปขอบขนาน แกมรูปไข่กลับ ยาว 4-10 ซม. กว้าง 2-5 ซม. ผิวใบเกลี้ยงทั้งสองด้าน ปลายใบมนถึง ทู่โคนใบสอบเส้นแขนงใบ 5-7 คู่ ไม่เด่นชัด ก้านใบยาว 2-5 มม. หูใบเล็ก รูปไข่ [1] [4]
