ต้น : เป็นไม้ล้มลุก สูงประมาณ 50 ซม. ลำต้นตั้งตรง [1]

ถิ่นที่พบ : ขึ้นตามเนินเขา ตามทุ่งนา หรือริมถนน [1]

ผล : มีกลีบเลี้ยงหุ้ม ผลแห้งแล้วแตก [1]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว ใบรูปไข่ ขอบใบหยักเป็นฟันเลื่อย ปลายใบแหลม โคนใบเป็นรูปลิ่ม [1]
