ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อที่ซอกใบและปลายกิ่ง กลีบดอกสีขาวประม่วง [3] [4]

ต้น : เป็นไม้พุ่มขนาดย่อม ต้นสี่เหลี่ยมเป็นข้อๆ [2]

ต้น : ไม้ล้มลุก สูง 30-75 ซม. ทุกส่วนมีกลิ่นหอม [3] [4]

ถิ่นที่พบ : ขึ้นในที่นแฉะ และปลูกเป็นการค้า [9]

ผล : แห้ง ไม่แตก [3] [4]

ใบ : มีลักษณะกลมโตและหนา ขอบใบเป็นจัก ใบมีกลิ่นหอมราคาแพง [2]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว เรียงสลับ รูปไข่ กว้าง 5-8 ซม. ยาว 7-10 ซม. ขอบใบหยักมน [3] [4]
