ดอก : มีสีเหลืองอ่อน สีเหลืองทอง ออกตามซองใบและปลายยอด ดอกวงนอกเป็นหมัน ดอกวงในจำนวนมากสีน้ำตาลเข้ม เมื่อบานเส้นผ่านศูนย์กลาง 3-30 ซม. หรือมากกว่า [2]

ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อ หรือเป็นกระจุก ขนาดใหญ่จะออกบริเวณยอด หรือรอบ ๆ ลำต้น ลักษณะของดอกเป็นดอกสมบูรณ์เพศ ตรงกลางดอกเป็นเกสรตัวเมีย 1 อัน และเกสรตัวผู้ 5 อัน กลีบดอกวงในมีสีเหลือง ส่วนกลีบดอกวงนอกมีสีเหลืองอ่อน หรือเหลืองทอง มีขนาดยาวประมาณ 1-4 นิ้ว ฐานดอกมีสีเขียวเชื่อมติดกัน [1]

ต้น : ลักษณะทั่วไป ไม้ล้มลุก สูงได้ถึง 5 ม. ลำต้นตรง แข็ง มีขนสาก [2]

ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้ล้มลุก ที่อายุเพียง 1 ปี ลักษณะของลำต้นเป็นแกนแข็ง ตั้งตรง มีขนขึ้นเป็นกลายแข็ง ลำต้นมีความสูงประมาณ 3-3.5 เมตร [1]

ถิ่นที่พบ : เป็นไม้พื้นเมืองของประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกาเหนือ [10]

ผล : ค่อนข้างแบน สีขาว สีเหลืองนวล [2]

ผล : มีลักษณะเป็นรูปกลมรี มีสีขาว สีเทา หรือสีดำ ขนาดยาวประมาณ 6-17 มม. ภายใน ผลมีเมล็ด เพียง 1 เมล็ดเป็นสีเหลืองอ่อน [1]

ใบ : มีลักษณะเป็นรูปกลมรี โคนใบโค้งเว้าเป็นรูปหัวใจ ส่วนปลายใบแหลม ริมขอบใบหยักย่อยเป็นแบบฟันปลา บริเวณหลังและใต้ท้องใบ มีขนสากขึ้นประปราย ใบมีขนาดยาวประมาณ 4-12 นิ้ว กว้างประมาณ 3.5-10 นิ้ว ก้านใบยาว [1]

ใบ : ใบเดี่ยว ออกสลับ รูปไข่ กว้าง 3.5-45 ซม. ยาว 7-45 ซม. ปลายแหลม โคนเว้ารูปหัวใจ ขอบจักเป็นฟันเลื่อย มีขนสากทั้งสองด้าน [2]
