ดอก : สีเหลืองเป็นรูปกระดิ่ง [2]

ดอก : ออกดอกเดี่ยวตามง่ามใบ และส่วนที่ยอดของเถา ลักษณะของดอกเป็นรูปกระดิ่งสีเหลือง ในดอกตัวเมียเมื่อบานเต็มที่แล้ว จะมองเห็นผลเล็ก ๆ ติดอยู่ที่ใต้ดอก [7]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ล้มลุก ที่มีลำต้นเป็นเถาเลื้อยไปตามพื้นดินและต้องการหลักยึด ตามลำเถาจะมีมือเอาไว้เกาะ เถามีขนาดยาว ใหญ่ และมีขนสากๆ ปกคลุมอยู่ มีสีเขียว [7]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ล้มลุก ที่มีเถายาวเลื้อยไปตามพื้นดิน มีหนวดยาวที่ข้อ [2]

ถิ่นที่พบ : มีกำเนิดทางอเมริกาเขตร้อน ปลูกมากในเขตร้อนของโลก [8]

ผล : มีขนาดใหญ่ ลักษณะกลมแบน ผิวขรุขระเนื้อในเป็นสีเหลืองถึงเหลืองมอมส้มและเหลืองอมเขียว [2]

ผล : มีขนาดใหญ่ ลักษณะเป็นพูกลมจะมีทั้งทรงแบน และทรงสูง เปลือกของผลจะแข็ง มีทั้งสีเขียวหรือสีน้ำตาลแดงก็แล้วแต่ชนิดของฟักทองนั้นๆ เนื้อในผลสีเหลืองรับประทานได้ เมื่อทานเข้าไปแล้วจะเปลี่ยนเป็นวิตามินเอในร่างกาย [7]

ใบ : สีเขียวใบไม้ มีหยัก 5 หยักด้วยกัน ผิวใบถ้าจับดูจะรู้สึกว่าสาก [2]

ใบ : ออกใบเดี่ยว ตามลำเถา ใบของฟักทองเป็นแผ่นใหญ่สีเขียว แยกออกเป็น 5 หยักและมีขนสากๆ มือ ปกคลุมอยู่ทั่วทั้งใบ [7]
