ดอก : มีขนาดเล็ก สีขาว ไม่มีก้านดอก ขึ้นอัดแน่นบนแกนช่อดอก รูปทรงกลมบนก้านช่อยาวประมาณ 1.3-2 ซม. ช่อดอกแต่ละช่อแตกแขนงมาจากช่อใหญ่หรือรวมกลุ่มกันเป็นช่อใหญ่ตามง่ามใบ ที่ปลายกิ่งหรือใกล้ปลายกิ่ง กลีบรองกลีบดอกติดกันคล้ายรูปแตร ยาวประมาณ 2-3 มม. กลีบดอกติดกันคล้ายรูปแตร ยาวประมาณ 4 มม. รังไข่ รูปรีๆ ภายในมีช่องเดียวแต่มีไข่อ่อนมาก [1]

ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้ยืนต้น ที่ปลูกกันตามข้างถนน ลำต้นเป็นสีขาวนวล ผิวเกลี้ยง [2]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ยืนต้นขนาดกลางถึงขนาดใหญ่ ผลัดใบ สูง 15-30 เมตร เส้นรอบอก 35 ซม. ลำต้นมักโค้ง เรือนยอดเป็นพุ่มกลมโปร่ง ขณะที่แตกใบอ่อนเรือนยอดจะออกสีแดงเรื่อๆ หรือสีน้ำตาลอมแดง มีการแตกกอค่อนข้างดี เปลือกสีขาวอมเขียวและมีรอยด่างสีน้ำตาลเป็นแผ่นๆ ทั่วลำต้น เปลือกในสีแดง ตามยอดและกิ่งอ่อนมีขนปกคลุมประปราย [1]

ถิ่นที่พบ : พบมากในภาคเหนือและภาคกลาง ชอบขึ้นในป่าหญ้า หรือป่าโปร่ง ในที่น้ำท่วมถึง [4]

ผล : ออกเป็นฝัก มีลักษณะแบนและใหญ่ [2]

ผล : ออกเป็นฝัก สีน้ำตาล รูปบรรทัดบางและแบนเรียบ กว้าง 2-2.5 ซม. ยาว 10-15 ซม. หัวแหลมท้ายแหลม เมล็ดแบน สีน้ำตาล ฝักหนึ่งๆ มีเมล็ด 6-12 เมล็ด ระยะการออกดอกและผล ออกดอกระหว่างเดือนพฤษภาคม-สิงหาคม ฝักจะแก่ประมาณเดือนตุลาคม-ธันวาคม [1]

ใบ : ออกช่อแบบขนนกสองชั้น ช่อติดเรียงสลับ ใบยาว 30-40 ซม. บนแกนช่อใบมีช่อใบแขนงที่ออกเป็นคู่ๆ ตรงข้ามกัน 4-11 คู่ ยาว 15-20 ซม. แต่ละช่อแขนงมีใบย่อยออกเป็นคู่ๆ ตรงข้ามกันจำนวน 5-10 คู่ ก้านใบย่อยสั้นมาก ยาว 1-3 มม. ใบย่อยเบี้ยวรูปรี คล้ายรูปสี่เหลี่ยมขนมเปียกปูน หรือรูปขอบขนานแกมรูปไข่ แผ่นใบเบี้ยวไม่ได้สัดส่วน กว้าง 1.5-2.5 ซม. ยาว 3-5 ซม. ปลายใบมน ฐานใบมนและเบี้ยว หลังใบเกลี้ยง ท้องใบมีขนละเอียดคลุมประปรายโดยเฉพาะบริเวณเส้นกลางใบสีนวลจางกว่าด้านหลังใบ [1]
