ดอก : ช่อดอกแทงจากเหง้า กลีบดอกสีขาวนวล ใบประดับขนาดใหญ่สีแดง [3] [5]

ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อ โผล่พ้นขึ้นจากหัวใต้ดิน ช่อก้านดอกยาวจะเป็นปุ่ม ส่วนปลายมีกลีบเลี้ยงสีเขียวปนแดง ซ้อนกันอยู่แน่น กลีบดอกมีสีขาวนวลแทรกอยู่ตามเกล็ด [2] [4]

ต้น : เป็นพืชล้มลุก จำพวกเดียวกับไพล หรือ ขิง ลำต้นเป็นหัวอยู่ใต้ดินมีสีขาวอมเหลืองอ่อน มีกลิ่นฉุน ลำต้นสูงประมาณ 2 เมตร [2] [4]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ล้มลุก สูง 0.5-1 เมตร มีเหง้าใต้ดิน เปลือกนอกของเหง้าสีน้ำตาลแกมเหลือง เนื้อในสีเหลืองอ่อน กลิ่นหอม แทงหน่อใหม่เมื่อถึงฤดูฝน [3] [5]

ผล : เป็นผลแห้ง [3] [5]

ใบ : ใบเดี่ยวเรียงสลับ และเป็นรูปหอกแกมขอบขนาน กว้าง 5-10 ซม. ยาว 15-30 ซม. ด้านล่างของใบมักมีขนนุ่ม [3] [5]

ใบ : ออกซ้อนกันเป็นแผง ใบเรียวยาวสีเขียวแก่ [2] [4]
