ดอก : ออกจากเหง้าเป็นช่อรูปกระบอง กว้าง 4-5.5 ซม. ยาว 8-12 ซม. กลีบดอกสีเหลือง [2]

ดอก : ออกดอกเป็นช่อเหนือพื้นดินเล็กน้อย กลีบดอกสีเหลือง [5]

ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อ มีสีขาวแกมเขียว ก้านช่อนั้นจะผุดออกมาจากลำต้นที่ติดอยู่กับดิน [6]

ต้น : ลักษณะต้นแบน มีความสูงประมาณ 1.75-3.60 เมตร [6]

ต้น : เป็นพืชล้มลุก มีลำต้นใต้ดินเรียกว่าเหง้า ส่วนที่อยู่เหนือดิน สูงได้ถึง 3 ม. ก้านใบเป็นกาบยาว [2]

ต้น : เป็นพืชล้มลุกมีเหง้าหรือลำต้นอยู่ใต้ดิน [5]

ผล : มีลักษณะกลมติด เป็นพวง เปลือกเกลี้ยง เป็นพู มีสีนวล มีเมล็ดขนาดเล็ก สีน้ำตาลแก่จำนวนมาก ทั้งผลและเมล็ดมีกลิ่นหอมคล้ายการบูร [2]

ผล : มีลักษณะกลมรี สีขาวนวล ภายในผลมีเมล็ดสีน้ำตาลจำนวนมาก [5]

ผล : มีลักษณะเป็นรูปรี กลมเกลี้ยง และเป็นกลีบที่ประกบติดกันแน่นอยู่ 3 กลีบ ผลของมันยาวประมาณ 1-1.5 นิ้ว และหนาประมาณ 0.2 นิ้ว ในผลนั้นจะมีเมล็ด ซึ่งจะเป็นสีน้ำตาล มีเนื้อเยื่อใส หุ้มอยู่ มีกลิ่นหอม รสชาดเผ็ดร้อนและในแต่ละผลจะมีเมล็ดอยู่ประมาณ 10 เมล็ด [6]

ใบ : ผิวใบเป็นมัน โคนใบมน ปลายใบเรียวแหลม ออกสลับกันที่โคนต้น ก้านใบเป็นกาบติดต้น [5]

ใบ : ใบเป็นกาบหุ้มลำต้น ใบกว้างประมาณ 2.5-12.5 ซม. และมีความยาวประมาณ 29-75 ซม. [6]

ใบ : ใบเรียงสลับกัน แผ่นใบรูปขอบขนาน หรือขอบขนานแกมรูปไข่ ปลายใบและโคนใบแหลม ขอบใบเรียบ มีขนาดกว้าง 8-12 ซม. ยาว 40-60 ซม. [2]
