ดอก : กลีบดอกมีสีนวล ใบประดับที่อยู่ส่วนล่างของช่อมีสีเขียวปลายแกมชมพู ที่อยู่ส่วนบนรูปใบหอก สีแดงเข้ม [2]

ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อ ก้านช่อดอกยาว 5-8 ซม. ใบประดับสีเขียวอ่อนๆ หรือสีขาว รูปหอกเรียงซ้อนกัน ใบประดับ 1 ใบ มี 2 ดอก ใบประดับย่อยรูปขอบขนานยาว 3-3.5 ซม. ด้านนอกมีขน กลีบรองกลีบดอกเชื่อมติดกันเป็นรูปท่อ มีขน กลีบดอกสีขาว โคนเชื่อมติดกันเป็นท่อยาว ปลายแยกเป็น 3 ส่วน เกสรผู้คล้ายกลีบดอก มีขน อับเรณูอยู่ที่ใกล้ๆ ปลาย ท่อเกสรเมียเล็ก ยาว ยอดเกสรเมียรูปปากแตร เกลี้ยง รังไข่มี 3 ช่อง แต่ละช่องมีไข่อ่อน 2 ใบ [1]

ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อ ก้านดอกยาวและพุ่งออกจากเหง้าที่อยู่ใต้ดิน ช่อดอกมีใบประดับ ดอกมีสีขาว ปลายช่อดอกเป็นสีชมพู ส่วนดอกสีเหลืองบานจากล่างขึ้นข้างบน บานครั้งละ 2-3 ดอก [4] [5]

ต้น : ขมิ้นอ้อยมีลักษณะโดยทั่วไปคล้ายขมิ้นชันมาก แต่ต้นสูงกว่า ขนาดเหง้าและใบใหญ่กว่า เหง้ามักโผล่ขึ้นมาเหนือดินเล็กน้อยและมีเนื้อในสีเหลือง [2]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ล้มลุก จะงอกงามในฤดูฝน และจะมีต้นโทรมหัวใหญ่ในฤดูหนาว อยู่ในจำพวกเดียวกับ ขิง ข่า [4] [5]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ล้มลุกสูง 50-70 ซม. มีเหง้าใต้ดิน เนื้อในสีเหลืองอมส้ม มีกลิ่นหอม [1]

ใบ : ด้านท้องใบมีขนนิ่มๆ ในหน้าแล้งใบจะแห้งลง บางครั้งเราก็เรียกว่า ขมิ้นหัวขึ้น [4] [5]

ใบ : ออกเป็นรัศมีติดผิวดิน รูปหอกแกมขอบขนาน กว้าง 8-10 ซม. ยาว 30-40 ซม. ก้านใบยาว 8-15 ซม. [1]

เหง้าแก้ปวดบวม แก้ฟกช้ำ
นำขมิ้นสด ๆ นำตำให้ละเอียด แล้วนำมาพอกที่บวม บรรเทาอาการปวดข้อ ฟกช้ำบวม1
