ดอก : ออกเป็นกระจุกแยกแขนง ดอกมีสีขาวครีม หรือสีชมพูเข้ม มีใบประดับและใบประดับย่อยยาว 3-9 มม. กลีบเลี้ยงจักเป็นพู 4 พู ขอบพูจรดกัน มีกลีบดอก 4 กลีบ เป็นรูปขอบขนาน ก้านเกสรเพศผู้เชื่อมติดกันเป็นท่อ ปลายจักเป็นพู แต่ละพูเป็นติ่งแหลม อับเรณูมี 8 อัน ฐานดอกเป็นรูปหมอน รังไข่มี 4 ช่อง ก้านเกสรเพศเมียสั้น ยอดเป็นรูปจาน ขอบจัก [1]

ถิ่นที่พบ : พบตามป่าชายเลน ขึ้นปะปนกับต้นจาก ต้นลำพู และต้นลำแพน [1]

ผล : เป็นผลแห้ง มีขนาดใหญ่ เส้นผ่านศูนย์กลางยาว 12-25 ซม. รูปร่างเกือบกลม ผลแก่แตกเป็น 4-5 เสี่ยงจากปลาย มีเมล็ดเป็นรูปพีระมิด ยาว 4-6 ซม. [1]

ใบ : เป็นใบประกอบแบบขนนกปลายคู่ ใบย่อยเป็นรูปไข่กลับ ปลายกลม โคนสอบแคบ แผ่นใบหนา ก้านใบย่อยยาว 5-6 มม. บวมพอง [1]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ต้นหรือไม้พุ่ม เปลือกต้นบางเรียบ มีสีขาวหรือสีน้ำตาลเหลือง โคนต้นมีพูพอน [1]
