ดอก : ออกเป็นกระจุกหรือเดี่ยว ดอกมีสีเหลือง กลีบเลี้ยงเป็นรูปถ้วยปลายแยกเป็น 5 แฉก มีขนรูปดาวคละกับขนยาวธรรมดา เกสรตัวผู้ติดกันเป็นหลอดยาว 6 มม. มีขนแข็ง รังไข่มี 10 ช่อง อยู่เหนือวงกลีบ [1]

ผล : เป็นผลแห้งแล้วแตก มีซีกผล 10 ซีก ปลายซีกมีหนามแหลม 2 อัน มีขนแข็งชี้ลง แต่ละซีกมี 1 เมล็ด เมล็ดเป็นรูปค่อนข้างยาว มีขนสั้นๆ ทีปลาย [1]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว รูปไข่กลับ ปลายมน โคนใบเว้าเป็นรูปหัวใจ ขอบใบจักมน แผ่นใบมีขนรูปดาวปกคลุมทั้ง 2 ด้าน ก้านใบยาว 1-2.5 ซม. มีหูใบยาวเป็นด้าย ยาวประมาณ 5 มม. มีขนรูปดาว [1]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ล้มลุก ลำต้นตรง สูงประมาณ 1 เมตร ตามกิ่งก้านมีขนรูปดาวคละกับขนแบบธรรมดา [1]
