ดอก : เป็นดอกเดี่ยว มีขนาดใหญ่ ตอนเช้าดอกจะมีสีขาว แล้วค่อยๆ เปลี่ยนเป็นสีชมพูและแดง ก้านดอกยาว 5-8 ซม. มีริ้วประดับ 8-18 เส้น เป็นรูปใบหอกแคบ กลีบเลี้ยงโคนติดกันเป็นรูประฆัง ปลายแยกเป็น 5 แฉก รูปไข่ กลีบดอกเป็นรูปช้อนกว้างซ้อนกันหลายชั้น ด้านนอกมีขนรูปดาว หลอดเกสรตัวผู้สั้นกว่ากลีบดอก มีอับเรณูติดรอบๆ หลอด เกสรตัวเมียอยู่ในหลอดเกสรตัวผู้ โผล่พ้นหลอดเกสรตัวผู้ ปลายแยกเป็น 5 แฉก รังไข่อยู่เหนือวงกลีบ [1]

ต้น : เป็นไม้พุ่ม สูงได้ถึงประมาณ 5 เมตร [1]

ผล : เป็นรูปไข่หรือทรงกลม มีขนยาวปกคลุมหนาแน่น เมล็ดเป็นรูปถั่ว สีน้ำตาล มีขนปกคลุม [1]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว รูปไข่กว้าง ปลายเรียวแหลม โคนใบเว้าเป็นรูปหัวใจ ขอบใบเป็นแฉก 5-7 แฉก แผ่นใบด้านบนมีขนเป็นรูปดาว ด้านล่างมีขนรูปดาวปะปนกันขนแบบธรรมดาสีเหลือง มีหูใบเป็นรูปแถบ ยาว 0.5-1 ซม. [1]
