| ดอก : มีสีขาว ชมพูอมเหลือง ชมพูอ่อนถึงแดง กลางดอกสีขาว มีริ้วประดับ 10 แฉก เป็นรูปแถบ มีขนเป็นรูปดาว โคนกลีบเลี้ยงติดกัน ปลายแยกเป็นแฉกแหลม 5 แฉก ด้านนอกมีขนรูปดาว มีกลีบดอกเป็นรูปไข่กลับเบี้ยว 5 กลีบ ด้านนอกกลีบมีขนรูปดาว ด้านในเกลี้ยง เกสรตัวผู้มีจำนวนมาก ติดอยู่รอบๆ หลอด อับเรณูเป็นรูปเกือกม้า มีสีเหลือง ก้านเกสรตัวเมียอยู่ในหลอดเกสรตัวผู้ ปลายแยกเป็น 8-10 แขนง ยอดเกสรสีแดง รังไข่อยู่เหนือวงกลีบ [1]

| ถิ่นที่พบ : พบในป่าดิบ ป่าผลัดใบ ป่าเบญจพรรณ พบมากในป่าละเมาะ [1] |
| ผล : เป็นผลแบบแห้งแล้วแตก เป็นรูปกลมด้านบนแบน มีพู 8-10 พู มีขนหนาแน่น เมล็ดเป็นรูปไต มีขนราบปกคลุม [1]

| ต้น : เป็นไม้พุ่มขนาดเล็ก สูง 30-100 ซม. [1]

| ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว รูปขอบขนานแคบ หรือรูปใบหอก ปลาบใบแหลมถึงมน โคนใบกลม สอบแคบ ถึงเว้าเล็กน้อย ขอบใบเรียบ แผ่นใบด้านบนมีขนรูปดาว ด้านล่างมีขนหนาแน่น ก้านใบยาว 0.5-4 ซม. [1]
