| ดอก : เป็นดอกเดี่ยว สีเหลืองอมส้ม ก้านดอกยาว 4.5-5 ซม. มีขนรูปดาวหนาแน่น กลีบเลี้ยงเชื่อมติดกันเป็นรูประฆัง มีสีเขียวอมเหลือง ปลายแยกเป็น 5 แฉก แฉกเป็นรูปสามเหลี่ยมกว้าง ปลายเป็นติ่งหนาม มีขนสั้นเป็นรูปดาว กลีบดอกมี 5 กลีบ เป็นรูปไข่กว้าง ปลายกลีบกลม เกสรตัวผู้มีจำนวนมากติดกันเป็นหลอด อับเรณูมีสีเหลืองอ่อนติดที่ปลาย ส่วนล่างเป็นรูปกรวย มีรูปดาว เกสรตัวเมียอยู่ในหลอดเกสรตัวผู้ รังไข่อยู่เหนือวงกลีบ มีขนสีขาวเป็นมันหนาแน่น ยอดเกสรเป็นตุ่ม [1] |
| ต้น : เป็นไม้พุ่ม ลำต้นกลม มีขนเป็นรูปดาวสีเทาปกคลุมหนาแน่น ลำต้นสูงประมาณ 3 เมตร [1] |
| ผล : เป็นรูปกลมแป้น ยอดแบน มีซีกผล 17-20 ซีก แบนเป็นรูปไต ปลายกลมมีติ่งหนาม ด้านล่างมีขนรูปดาว แต่ละซีกมีเมล็ด 3 เมล็ด ผลแก่แตกได้ [1] |
| ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว รูปไข่ค่อนข้างกลม ปลายใบเรียวแหลม โคนใบเว้าเป็นรูปหัวใจ ขอบใบหยักเป็นซี่ฟันหยาบๆ มีขนเป็นกำมะหยี่ แผ่นใบด้านบนมีขนรูปดาวประปราย ด้านล่างมีขนรูปดาวหนาแน่น [1] |
