ดอก : ออกเดียวๆ หรือออกเป็นกระจุก ช่อละ 2-3 ดอก มีกลีบเลี้ยง 5 กลีบ กลีบดอก 5 กลีบ บานตอนกลางคืน มีกลิ่นหอม [1]

ต้น : เป็นไม้พุ่มกึ่งยืนต้นขนาดเล็ก สูง 5-8 เมตร เปลือกต้นสีขาวปนเทา แตกกิ่งเป็นพุ่มแน่น [1]

ถิ่นที่พบ : พบขึ้นประปรายตามป่าดงดิบ ทางภาคเหนือ ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ภาคตะวันออก และภาคใต้ [1]

ผล : เป็นรูปไข่ หรือรูปรี ปลายทู่กว้าง ที่ผิวมีต่อมน้ำมัน ผลอ่อนสีเขียว ผลสุกสีส้มแดง [1]

เมล็ด : เป็นรูปไข่ มีขนหนาและเหนียวหุ้มรอบเมล็ด [1]

ใบ : เป็นใบประกอบแบบขนนกปลายคี่ ใบมีหลายแบบ เช่น รูปไข่ รูปรี รูปข้าวหลามตัดเบี้ยว โคนใบสอบ ขอบใบเรียบ ปลายหยักเป็นแอ่งตื้นๆ เนื้อใบมีต่อมน้ำมัน [1]
