ดอก : ออกเป้นช่อ บริเวณกลางต้นหรือง่ามใบ มีกามหุ้มดอก 2-3 อัน มีเกสรตัวผู้และตัวเมียในช่อเดียวกัน [1]

ต้น : เจริญอยู่บนผิวน้ำ ลำต้นอวบน้ำน้ำ ลอยน้ำได้ มีรากเป็นกระจุก [1]

ผล : ผลเเป็นแผ่นบางๆ ภายในมีเมล็ด 2-3 เมล็ด เปลือกเมล็ดมีรอยย่น [1]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว มีสีเขียว ใบเรียงวน ปลายใบมน บานแผ่ออกคล้ายพัด บริเวณโคนใบด้านหลังจะนูนออก ผิวใบมีขนทั้ง 2 ด้าน [1]
