ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อ หรือบางทีก็ออกดอกเดี่ยว ตามง่ามใบที่ส่วนยอดของต้น มีสีม่วง ลักษณะของดอกเป็นรูปกรวยปลายดอกแยกออกเป็น 5 กลีบ เกสรกลางดอกมี 4 อัน สั้น 2 อัน ยาว 2 อัน [6]

ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้ล้มลุก ตามลำต้นมีขนอ่อนๆ ขึ้นปกคลุมอยู่เล็กน้อย ลำต้นสูงประมาณ 20-30 ซม. [6]

ผล : เป็นฝักยาว ซึ่งยาวประมาณ 1 นิ้วกว่า ๆ เล็กน้อย แต่เมื่อถ้าได้รับความชื้นมากๆ หรือถูกน้ำ ผลจะแตกออกเป็น 2 ซีก ภายในมีเมล็ดอยู่ 8 เมล็ด [6]

ใบ : ออกใบเดี่ยว เรียงกันเป็นคู่ ๆ ไปตามข้อต้น ลักษณะของใบเป็นรูปมนรี ปลายใบมน โคนใบแหลม ขอบใบเรียบไม่มีจัก แต่อาจเป็นคลื่นเล็กน้อย ขนาดของใบกว้างประมาณ 1-1.5 นิ้ว ยาว 2.5-3 นิ้ว มีสีเขียว [6]
