ดอก : มีกลิ่นหอมออกเป็นช่อที่ยอดและตามซอกใบห้อยย้อยลงมา กลีบเลี้ยงเป็นหลอดมีสีเขียวปลายแฉกสามเหลี่ยมสั้นๆ กลีบดอกรูปขอบขนาน ยาว 10-20 มม. กว้าง 3-6 มม. ดอกเริ่มบาน สีขาวเปลี่ยนเป็นสีชมพูจนถึงแดงเข้ม [2] [12]

ดอก : ออกเป็นช่ออยู่ตรงส่วนยอดของต้น ลักษณะของดอกจะเป็นหลอดยาวมาก ประมาณ 3-4 นิ้ว ตรงปลายแยกออกเป็น 5 กลีบสีชมพู หรือสีแดงอมขาว หลอดของดอกจะโค้งเล็กน้อย เกสรยาวยื่นออกมากลางดอก 5 อัน [5] [7] [8]

ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้เถาขนาดกลาง ที่แตกกิ่งก้านสาขาหนาทึบและตามลำต้น หรือกิ่งอ่อนจะมีขนสีน้ำตาลอมเทาปกคลุมอยู่ แต่ต้นที่แก่ผิวจะเกลี้ยง หรือบางทีก็กลายเป็นหนามไปเลย ต้องหาหลักยืดหรือร้านให้ลำเถาเกาะยึด [5] [6] [7] [8]

ต้น : เป็นไม้พุ่มเลื้อยที่เติบโตเร็ว ส่วนที่อ่อนมีขนสั้นหนานุ่ม สีสนิม [2] [12]

ผล : เป็นรูปรีแคบๆ 5 พู ยาวประมาณ 2.5 ซม. สีน้ำตาลแดงเป็นมัน [2] [12]

ผล : เป็นสัน และแข็ง สันมีอยู่ 5 สัน ผลโตประมาณ 0.5 นิ้วยาว 1-1.5 นิ้ว มีสีดำ [5] [6] [7] [8]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยวติดตรงข้าม หรือบางส่วนสลับ หรือเวียนสลับเป็นวงรอบ ใบรูปหอกขอบขนานหรือรูปรี ขนาดกว้าง 5-18.5 ซม. ยาว 2.5-9 ซม. ปลายใบเรียวแหลม โคนใบกลมหรือค่อนข้างรูปหัวใจ [2] [6] [12]

ใบ : เป็นไม้ใบเดี่ยว ออกตรงข้ามกันเป็นคู่ ๆ ใบเป็นรูปมนขอบขนาน ปลายใบแหลมหรือมนและมีติ่งแหลม โคนใบจักเว้าเข้าเล็กน้อย ขอบใบเรียบหรือบางใบ เป็นคลื่น ขนาดของใบกว้างประมาณ 1-1.5 นิ้ว ยาว 3.6 นิ้ว มีสีเขียว เนื้อบางและท้องใบมีขนปกคลุมจำนวนมาก [5] [7] [8]

เมล็ดเล็บมือนาง อาจทำให้เกิดอาการข้างเคียงได้ เช่น สะอึก เวียนศีรษะ คลื่นไส้ อาเจียน ท้องเดิน
