ดอก : ขนาดเล็ก ๆ ไม่มีก้าน ออกเป็นช่อเล็กยาวติดตามก้านที่พุ่งจากดิน ลักษณะแห้ง [4]

ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อ หรือเป็นกระจุก ดอกย่อยมีประมาณ 20 ดอก ดอกเป็นสีม่วงแดง [2]

ดอก : แบบช่อกระจุกแน่น ออกเป็นกระจุก เฉพาะดอกจาน กลีบเลี้ยงลดรูปเป็นเส้น (pappus) กลีบดอกเชื่อมติดกันเป็นหลอดแคบ ปลายแยกเป็น 5 แฉก สีม่วง [3]

ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้ล้มลุก ลักษณะของลำต้นตั้งตรง มีกิ่งก้านน้อยทั่วกิ่งและก้านมีขนขึ้นปกคลุม ลำต้นมีความสูงประมาณ 8-32 นิ้ว [2]

ต้น : เป็นพืชล้มลุกอายุหลายปี ลำต้นอยู่ใต้ดิน [4]

ต้น : ไม้ล้มลุก สูง 20-82 ซม. ลำต้นตั้งตรง มีกิ่งก้านน้อย ทั่วกิ่งและก้านมีขนขึ้นปกคลุม [3]

ผล : ผลเล็กเมื่อแก่แตกกลาง มักเกิดตามที่ลุ่มทั้งที่มีน้ำท่วม [4]

ผล : เป็นผลเดี่ยว เปลือกแข็ง และเมื่อแห้งไม่แตก มีขนาดยาวประมาณ 0.2 ซม. [3]

ผล : เมื่อดอกร่วงโรยแล้ว ก็จะติดผล มีขนที่ข้อเป็นสีขาว ข้างในผลมีเมล็ดเดี่ยว เปลือกของมันแข็ง และแห้งไม่แตก มีขนาดยาวประมาณ 2 มม. [2]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว ใบเรียงเวียนสลับ กว้าง 1-3 ซม. ยาว 2-6 ซม. [2] [3]

ใบ : ใบงอกขึ้นมาจากดิน ก้านยาว ใบรูปกลม โคนเรียวแหลม ปลายป้านแหลมหนา เส้นใบวิ่งตามยาว 5 เส้น สีเขียวไม่เข้ม [4]
