ดอก : ดอกช่อออกที่ปลายยอด ใบประดับสีขาวเรียวยาว เป็นกาบหุ้ม ดอกสีขาวอัดตัวกันแน่น ลำต้นกลมเป็นข้อถี่ๆ [1]

ต้น : มีรากอากาศออกจากข้อ ใบออกจากต้นเรียงกันอย่างเป็นระเบียบสวยงามมาก เมื่อปลูกไว้นานๆ ตามต้นจะมีการแตกรากอากาศออกมาเป็นฝอยๆ ยาวถึง 60 ซม. [1]

ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้จำพวกหญ้า แตกแยกกอเป็นกอใหญ่เกิดจากหัวหรือเหง้าที่อยู่ใต้ดิน และมีลำต้นอยู่ใต้ดิน ส่วนที่โผล่ขึ้นมาอยู่เหนือดินนั้นเป็นเพียงก้านและใบ ซึ่งสูงประมาณ 2 ฟุต [4]

ผล : ผลรวมทรงกลมสีแดง [1]

ใบ : รูปขอบขนานเรียวยาวผิวเรียบมัน ปลายใบแหลมสีเขียวเข้ม กลางใบเป็นร่องตามยาว ขอบมีหนามแหลมคมถี่ ๆ ตลอดใบ [1]

ใบ : ลักษณะใบคล้ายกับใบสับปะรด สีเขียวเป็นมัน มีกลิ่นหอมคล้ายดอกขจร ใบยาวประมาณ 8-10 นิ้ว ปลายใบเรียวแหลม ขอบใบเรียบ ภายในใบจะมีสารสีเขียวซึ่งนำมาผสมอาหารได้อย่างปลอดภัย [4]
