ดอก : ดอกช่อ ออกแทรกอยู่ระหว่างกาบใบที่โคนต้น กลีบดอกสีขาวหรือชมพูอ่อน ใบประดับรูปใบหอก สีม่วงแดง ดอกย่อยบานครั้งละ 1 ดอก [1]

ดอก : มีสีม่วงดอกออกเป็นช่อ กลีบรองกลีบดอกเชื่อมต่อกัน มีรูปลักษณะเป็นท่อ มีขน โคนเชื่อมติดกันเป็นช่อยาว เกสรตัวผู้จะเหมือนกับกลีบดอก อับเรณูอยู่ใกล้ปลาย ท่อเกสรตัวเมียขนาดยาว เล็ก ยอดของมันเป็นรูปปากแตร เกลี้ยงไม่มีขน [8]

ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อที่ส่วนยอด ออกแทรกอยู่ระหว่างกาบใบ ช่อดอกมีใบประดับเรียงทแยงกัน ดอกบานทีละดอก โดยดอกที่อยู่ทางปลายช่อจะบานก่อน ดอกมีสีขาวหรือสีชมพูอ่อนหรือสีม่วงแดง ดอกมีลักษณะเป็นถุง กลีบเลี้ยงและกลีบดอกจะเชื่อมติดกัน เกสรตัวผู้มี 5-6 อัน แต่จะมีเพียงอันเดียวที่ไม่เป็นหมัน [7]

ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้ล้มลุก ลำต้นมีความสูงประมาณ 9 ซม. ส่วนกลางของลำต้นเป็นแกนแข็ง มีกาบหรือโคนใบหุ้ม [8]

ต้น : เป็นพืชล้มลุกขนาดเล็ก สูงประมาณ 2 ฟุตเศษ มีลำต้นใต้ดิน เรียกว่า เหง้า (Rhizome) แต่ละเหง้ามีสีน้ำตาลแกมเทาจนถึงสีน้ำตาลแกมส้ม เหง้าใต้ดินนี้แตกออกเป็นกระจุกจำนวนมาก โดยมีลักษณะอวบน้ำ ตรงกลางเหง้ามีลักษณะพองมากกว่าหัวท้าย เนื้อในมีสีเหลืองอ่อน มีกลิ่นหอมเฉพาะตัว [7]

ต้น : ไม่มีลำต้นบนดิน มีเหง้าใต้ดิน ซึ่งแตกรากออกไป เป็นกระจุกจำนวนมาก อวบน้ำ ตรงกลางพองกว้างกว่าส่วนหัวและท้าย [1]

ผล : เป็นแบบผลแห้ง เมื่อแก่แล้วไม่แตก [7]

ใบ : มีกลิ่นหอม ก้านใบแทงขึ้นจากหัวในดิน ออกเป็นรัศมีติดผิว ขนาดใบจะกว้าง 7-9 ซม. ยาว 30-35 ซม. [8]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว มีขนาดใหญ่ มีความยาวมากกว่าความกว้างประมาณสองเท่า ใบรูปไข่ ปลายใบแหลม ออกสลับกันแต่อยู่ในระนาบเดียวกัน ใบมีสีเขียวอ่อน ท้องใบมีสีแดง เนื้อใบละเอียด กาบใบมีสีแดงหรือสีแดงปนสีเขียวอ่อน [7]

ใบ : ใบเดี่ยว เรียงสลับในระนาบเดียวกัน รูปขอบขนานแกมรูปไข่ กว้าง 4.5-10 ซม. ยาว 15-30 ซม. ตรงกลางด้านในของก้านใบมีรองลึก [1]
