ดอก : ดอกเดี่ยวหรือออกเป็นกลุ่มๆ ละ 2-3 ดอก ที่ซอกใบและปลายกิ่ง กลีบดอกขาวนวลหรือเหลืองอ่อน รูปไข่กลับปลายกลีบบานและหยักเว้าเข้า โคนกลีบสอบออกตามง่ามใบ มีกลิ่นหอม กลีบรองกลีบดอกมนป้อม รูปช้อนงอเรียง 2 ชั้นๆ ละ 2 กลีบ มีเกสรตัวผู้สีเหลืองจำนวนมาก [2]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ยืนต้นขนาดกลางถึงขนาดใหญ่ ไม่ผลัดใบลำต้นตรง เรือนยอดเป็นพุ่มทึบรูปเจดีย์ ยอดอ่อนสีแดง [2]

ถิ่นที่พบ : พบในป่าทั่วๆ ไป หรือปลูกไว้ตามวัด ตามบ้าน [1]

ผล : รูปไข่ปลายโค้งแหลม กลีบรองกลีบดอกขยายโตเป็นกาบหุ้มผล 4 กลีบ มีเมล็ด 1-2 เมล็ด [2]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยวรูปหอกหรือรูปขอบขนานแกมรูปหอก เนื้อใบเรียบ ปลายใบสอบเรียวแหลม โคนใบสอบ หลังใบมีคราบขาวนวล ใบอ่อนสีชมพู ขอบใบเรียบ เส้นแขนงใบคี่ [2]
