ดอก : เป็นดอกเดี่ยวหรือบางทีก็เป็นช่อ ช่อละ 2-3 ดอก ดอกมีกลิ่นหอมอ่อนๆ สีเขียวอมเหลือง มีอยู่ 6 กลีบและแบ่งออกเป็น 2 ชั้น ชั้นในมีกลีบดอกเล็กกว่า ดอกจะห้อยลง [1]

ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้ยืนต้น แตกกิ่งก้านสาขาที่เรือนยอดของต้น กิ่งอ่อนมีขนสีเทาปกคลุม เปลือกต้นสีเทา ลำต้นจะสูงประมาณ 15-20 เมตร [1]

ถิ่นที่พบ : พบตามป่าเบญจพรรณ [4]

ผล : เป็นลูกกลมรี ผิวย่น โตประมาณ 0.5 นิ้ว ยาว 1 นิ้ว เมื่อผลแก่เป็นสีดำ มีเมล็ดอยู่ภายในจำนวนมาก [1]

ใบ : เป็นไม้ใบเดี่ยว ออกเรียงสลับกันไปตามข้อต้น ลักษณะของใบเป็นรูปมน ปลายใบมนและมีติ่งแหลมสั้นๆ โคนใบจะเว้าเป็นรูปหัวใจมากบ้างน้อยบ้างไม่เท่ากัน พื้นใบเป็นสีเขียวด้านบนจะมีสีเข้มกว่า และมีขนปกคลุมประปราย ส่วนด้านล่างขนจะคลุมหนาแน่นมาก ขนาดของใบกว้างประมาณ 2.5-5.5 นิ้ว ยาว 3-8 นิ้ว [1]
