ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อ อยู่ตามส่วนยอดของต้นหรือตามง่ามใบ ดอกมีขนาดเล็ก ดอกแยกเพศ ไม่มีกลีบดอก ใบประดับรูปถ้วยสีเขียวเข้ม [1] [2] [3]

ต้น : เป็นพรรณไม้ล้มลุก สูงประมาณ 30-40 ซม ซึ่งจัดอยู่ในจำพวกหญ้าชนิดหนึ่ง ลำต้นมีขนละเอียดสีน้ำตาลอ่อน และเมื่อเด็ดลำต้นมียางสีขาวคล้ายน้ำนมไหลออกมาหากเกิดบาดแผล [1] [2] [3]

ถิ่นที่พบ : พบขึ้นทั่วๆ ไปในประเทศไทย [5]

ผล : ทรงกลมมี 3 พู เมื่อแก่สีเหลือง ผลแห้งแล้วแตก เมล็ดขนาดเล็กสีน้ำตาลแก่หรือแดง [3] [4]

ใบ : ออกใบเดี่ยว ตรงข้ามกันเป็นคู่ ๆ มีสีเขียว ใบเป็นรูปไข่ยาว ปลายแหลม ขอบใบเป็นจักเล็กน้อย ผิวใบมีขนทั้งสองด้าน กว้าง 1.0-1.5 ซม. ยาว 2-4 ซม. [1] [2] [3]
