ดอก : มีขนาดใหญ่รูปดอกถั่ว สีเหลืองถึงแดงแสด ออกเป็นช่อตามกิ่งก้านและที่ปลายกิ่ง ยาว 2-15 เซนติเมตร กลีบดอก 5 กลีบ ยาวประมาณ 7 เซนติเมตร [7]

ดอก : มีสีแสด บางต้นมีสีเหลือง รูปทรงแบบดอกถั่วขนาดใหญ่ ออกดอกเดือนธันวาคม–มีนาคม [6]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ยืนต้นขนาดกลางถึงขนาดใหญ่ สูงประมาณ 10–15 เมตร ผลัดใบ เรือนยอดรูปทรงไม่แน่นอน ส่วนใหญ่จะกลม หรือเป็นทรงกระบอก [4] [5] [8] [9]

ถิ่นที่พบ : พบมากทางภาคเหนือ ภาคตะวันออก และภาคอีสาน ของประเทศไทย [9]

ผล : เป็นฝักแบน มีขนนุ่ม เมล็ด 1 เมล็ดอยู่ที่ปลายฝัก [4] [5] [8]

ผล : เป็นฝักแบน รูปขอบขนาน กว้างประมาณ 3.5 เซนติเมตร ยาวประมาณ 14 เซนติเมตร เมล็ด : มี 1-2 เมล็ดที่ปลายฝัก [7]

ผล : เป็นฝักแบนสีน้ำตาล ภายในมีเมล็ดแบนๆ ผลแก่ไม่แตก ผลแก่ระหว่างเดือนเมษายน-พฤษภาคม เมล็ดเดียวที่ปลายฝัก [6]

ใบ : ประกอบแบบขนนก ออกสลับ มีใบย่อยยอดรูปไข่กลับ ปลายมน โคนสอบ ส่วนอีก 2 ใบ รูปไข่ค่อนข้างกว้าง โคนเบี้ยว [7]

ใบ : ใบประกอบมี 3 ใบ ขนาดไม่เท่ากัน ใบหนาและมีขน ใต้ใบสีเขียวอมเทา [1]

ใบ : ใบประกอบแบบขนนก เรียงเวียนสลับ มี 3 ใบย่อย ปลายกลมหรือทู่ โคนกลม ขอบใบเรียบ ผิวด้านบนเกลี้ยงด้านล่างสาก [6]
