ดอก : เป็นดอกเดี่ยว ดอกเพศผู้และเพศเมียอยู่คนละดอกกัน แต่อยู่บนต้นเดียวกัน ดอกเพศผู้จะเป็นหลอดยาว 2-4 นิ้ว ปลายดอกแยกเป็น 5 กลีบ ยาว 1-2 นิ้ว มีกลีบเลี้ยง 5 กลีบ ดอกเพศเมียจะสั้นกว่าดอกเพศผู้ ปลายแยกเป็น 3 แฉก มีรังไข่อยู่ภายในดอก ดอกฟักมีสีเหลือง [1]

ดอก : เป็นดอกเดี่ยว ออกที่ซอกใบ เส้นผ่านศูนย์กลาง 6-12 ซม. กลีบดอกสีเหลือง เชื่อมติดกันเป็นรูปแตร ปลายแยกเป็น 5 แฉก แยกเพศอยู่คนละต้น [3]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ล้มลุกเลื้อยพัน มีมือเกาะ ปลายแยกเป็น 2 แฉก ยาว 10-35 ซม. ลำต้นและใบมีขนหยาบหนาแน่น มีสีเขียวอ่อน [3]

ต้น : เป็นไม้เลื้อย ลำต้นยาว แตกกิ่งก้านมากมาย ลำต้นมีสีเขียวและมีขนค่อนข้างแข็ง [1]

ถิ่นที่พบ : มีถิ่นกำเนิดที่เกาะชวา ปลูกมากในเอเชียเขตร้อน [3]

ผล : รูปไข่แกมขอบขนาน รูปกระสวย หรือรูปทรงกลมขนาดใหญ่ กว้าง 10-25 ซม. ยาว 20-60 ซม. ผิวสีเขียวเข้ม มีจุดประสีเขียวอ่อน มีเมล็ดจำนวนมาก รูปไข่แกมรี แบน มีสีน้ำตาลเหลือง [3]

ผล : เป็นรูปกลมยาว เปลือกมีสีเขียว เนื้อในผลมีสีเขียว ผลกว้างประมาณ 8-12 นิ้ว ยาว 1-2 ฟุต เมล็ดมีสีขาวหรือสีขาวออกเหลือง [1]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว รูปไข่ป้อม ยาว 10-25 ซม. โคนใบรูปหัวใจ ปลายใบเรียวแหลม ขอบใบเว้าเป็นแฉก 5-11 แฉก ขอบจักมนเป็นคลื่น มีขนเหนียวทั้ง 2 ด้าน [3]

ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว เรียงสลับตามข้อ ตัวใบใหญ่และยาวเท่ากัน ประมาณ 2-6 นิ้ว ใบคล้ายฝ่ามือ ขอบใบแฉก 5-7 แฉก ปลายแฉกแหลม โคนใบเว้าเข้าหาก้านใบ ผิวใบมีขนปกคลุมทั้ง 2 ด้าน มีสีเขียว ก้านใบยาวประมาณ 4 นิ้ว [1]
