| ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อกระจุกแยกแขนง ก้านช่อดอกสั้น มีดอกจำนวนมาก มีกลีบเลี้ยง 5 กลีบ เป็นรูปไข่ มีกลีบดอก 5 กลีบ สีขาวหรือสีเขียว โคนกลีบติดกันเป็นหลอด ปลายแยกเป็น 5 แฉก ด้านในมีขนเป็นวงอยู่ปากหลอด มีเกสรตัวผู้ 5 อัน อับเรณูเป็นรูปไข่ รังไข่มี 2 ช่อง อยู่เหนือวงกลีบ [1]

| ผล : เป็นรูปกลม หรือรูปไข่ เปลือกบาง เรียบ ผลสุกมีสีส้ม หรือสีแดง มีเมล็ด 1-2 เมล็ด [1] |
| ใบ : เป็นใบเดี่ยว รูปสี่เหลี่ยมข้าวหลามตัด รูปหอก หรือรูปไข่ โคนใบแหลม หรือเว้าเล็กน้อยเป็นรูปหัวใจ ปลายใบแหลมหรือมน แผ่นใบหนา มีขนตามเส้นกลางใบ หูใบเป็นแนวนูน [1]

| ต้น : เป็นไม้พุ่มรอเลื้อย หรือไม้เถาขนานใหญ่ ลำต้นกลมหรือเป็นเหลี่ยม มีสีเขียวอมเทา หรือสีน้ำตาล หรือสีน้ำตาลอมเทา ง่ามใบมีหนาม มีมือจับอันเดียว [1]
