ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อ ยาวประมาณ 4-6.5 นิ้ว มีกลีบรองกลีบดอกเป็นรูปไข่ หรือรูปรี ปลายกลีบแหลมเรียว ยาวประมาณ 2-3.5 มม. กว้างประมาณ 1.2-1.5 มม. กลีบดอกเป็นรูปค่อนข้างกลม รูปรีหรือรูปไข่ โคนกลีบกลมสอบแคบ ปลายกลีบมน กลีบดอกยาว 1.5-3 ซม. กว้างประมาณ 1.5-2 ซม. ตรงกลางดอกมีเกสรตัวผู้ ก้านเกสรมีสีม่วง มีทั้งหมดประมาณ 15-25 อัน [1]

ดอก : ออกเป็นช่อที่ปลายกิ่ง ช่อดอกยาว 10-16 ซม. มี 20-100 ดอก ก้านดอกยาว 4-7 ซม. กลีบรองดอกเป็นรูปไข่ ปลายกลีบแหลม กลีบดอกค่อนข้างกลม รูปรี ปลายมน กลีบดอกกว้าง 1.5-3 ซม. เกสรตัวผู้มีสีม่วง มี 15-25 อัน ยอดเกสรตัวเมียสีม่วงเข้ม ก้านชูรังไข่ยาว 3.5-5.5 ซม. เมื่อแรกดอกบานสีขาวแล้วเปลี่ยนเป็นสีเหลือง [3] [6]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ยืนต้น ผลัดใบ มักมีลำต้นคดงอและแตกกิ่งต่ำ [2]

ต้น : เป็นไม้ยืนต้น ลำต้นมีเส้นผ่าศูนย์กลางประมาณ 40 ซม. มีความสูงประมาณ 4-20 เมตร [1]

ถิ่นที่พบ : พบขึ้นทั่วไปตามริมฝั่งแม่น้ำ [9]

ผล : เป็นรูปรี ผิวเปลือกหนามีสะเก็ดบางๆ เป็นสีเหลืองอมเทาขึ้นอยู่ทั่วไป มีขนาดยาวประมาณ 5-8 ซม. [1] [3] [6]

เมล็ด : เป็นรูปเกือกม้า ยาว 6-9 มม. หนา 2-3 มม. [1] [3] [6]

ใบ : ออกเป็นช่อ เป็นรูปหอก หรือรูปขอบขนานปลายใบแหลมเรียว โคนใบสอบแคบ ผิวเนื้อใบค่อนข้างหนา หลังใบมีสีเทาอมน้ำตาล ใต้ท้องใบมีขนละอองเป็นสีเทา เส้นกลางเส้นใบเห็นได้ชัด มีสีค่อนข้างแดง ขนาดของใบกว้างประมาณ 0.5-2.5 นิ้ว ยาวประมาณ 2-9 นิ้ว ก้านใบมีรอยเป็นร่องไปตามยาว ตรงปลายก้านมีต่อมสีน้ำตาล มีขนาดประมาณ 1 มม. ก้านยาวประมาณ 1.5-5.5 นิ้ว [1]

ใบ : เป็นช่อ ช่อหนึ่งมี 3 ใบ รูปหอก กว้าง 1.5-6.5 ซม. ยาว 4.5-23 ซม. ปลายใบเรียวแหลม โคนใบสอบแคบ เนื้อใบค่อนข้างหนามันคล้ายแผ่นหนัง เส้นกลางใบมีสีค่อนข้างแดง ผิวใบด้านล่างมีละอองสีเทาปกคลุมอยู่ ก้านใบแข็งยาว 4-14 ซม. [3] [6]

มีสาร Cyanogenic glycoside มีฤทธิ์ต่อระบบไหลเวียนของโลหิตทำให้อาเจียน กล้ามเนื้อทำงานไม่ประสานกัน หายใจลำบาก กล้ามเนื้ออ่อนเปลี้ย กล้ามเนื้อกระตุก มึนงง ไม่รู้สึกตัว ชักก่อนจะหมดสติ มีอาการขาดออกซิเจน ตัวเขียว ถ้าได้รับมากจะโคม่าภายใน 10-15 นาที
